The Underwater Wonders of Sabah

Departing from Turtle Island, we headed to Semporna which is the jump of point to Sipadan Island and a few more of the world’s best diving and snorkeling sites. Luckily we managed to get there in time to book our space on the last snorkeling trip for the next day. So, after we got the booking we peacefully advanced to our hotel on Mabul Island. Our excitement was at peak and we were all looking forward to tomorrow’s trip.

The next day, we headed to Sipadan for our 3 boat dive trip. Sipadan is the only oceanic Island in Malaysia. It rises about 600 meters above the ocean floor creating a dramatic underwater realm. Our first was only a warm up and I got to see two large turtles, a black tipped reef shark and countless other weird creatures. After that we advanced to the Barracuda Point, by this time the sun was up and the underwater sights were out of this world. It was a whole new world. I could not help myself but admire the beauty of the place.

There is incredible wildlife on the Nile, including; the Nile Crocodile, the Pied Kingfisher, the Scarlet Ibis (which looks a lot like a Flamingo), and countless fish. Enjoy the wildlife, the local people, and unrivaled relaxation that come from a river boat trip down one of the most awesome natural wonders of the world.
